Doesnt work

My wife is sitting beside me on the couch and we spent almost 2 hours sending each other invites and the codes were always invalid. YES we used the email addresses we registered with.
Why do we have to enter a code? Why cant I just invite her via my app to her app and she taps, OK and its done?
